Hurricane Katrina


A very powerful storm that forms over the North and South equator of America is called ‘Hurricane’. Hurricane is a fierce storm that forms over warm oceans. Significantly, the ocean’s temperature must be up to 26.5° or more is required for a hurricane to form. With the winds that can reach up to 270 km/hr are able to create a storm surge and storm tides that can destroy buildings and houses. Not only that, heavy rainfall can lead to an extreme flooding, which can take a lot of lives.
