Hollow Earth

Modern science holds that the Earth is unbroken series of, crust, and liquid magma surrounding a dense, hot core made primarily of iron and nickel. But not everyone is convinced. In the 17th century, some scientist came up with a new theory that the Earth is actually hollow.

Even today, a force of people believed that the Earth is hollow are fighting valiantly to validate their ideas through books, websites, meetings, and some extremely travel plans.

Rodney Cluff said that "the shell of the Earth is about 800 miles thick, from the outside to the inner surface". Half the planet is taken up by the surface weight, and then there's empty space. In the centre of the hollow, there is an interior sun that us divided by day and night sides. Other parts of the theory is that near the North and South pole are substantial openings that lead into the interior.

Tower Defence

Intro:
For the last few weeks, we've been trying to do as much as we can to finish the game but it's not enough because it's so much harder than what we expected it to be, even though we did some changes throughout the time we have to make it easier as possible, but still, we didn't manage to finish the game.

 Reflection:
I've learned so many things doing this work. I've learned that you need to start on a little work before you start the big ones because if you prefer to start on a big one, you'll get stuck to it because you don't have any idea what to do.

Making a tower defence game is really hard because no one in my team had an experience of making a game.  We could've chosen to make an app instead of a game so it's easier and it's also in our knowledge range.
My group actually did pretty well but it's not enough for this topic because we had some problems like we can't find a tower defence template in Applab so we didn't have a choice but to do it in Scratch.com. Working in scratch is really hard because it's different to Applab. It took us about 1 week to figure it out how to use it properly, but yeah, 1 week wasted figuring out a website. My team decided to do a different job to make the process a bit quicker. Vince accepted to do the coding because he kinda knows how to use Scratch better than me and Thamhie. Thamhie chose to do a background for the game in scratch and my job is to design towers, which I'm good at because I like editing and recreating things to make it better.

I like my group because we can communicate better and we know each other. However, working with your friends can sometimes slow the working progress because you'll just be going to mock around and spending time having fun together even though you have work to do, but if your team is mature enough you can have fun and do the work at the same time.

This is all the designs and codes we have made. That's all the towers I've made. The poison tower was my first design but it took me a little while to finish it so I change the towers into circles so it's easier. I used Pixlr to create those towers because that's the only editor I know how to use better. I wanted to do more towers but I don't have enough time because I wasted most of my time creating a 1 high graphic tower. The codes were done by Vince, he had a template to copy but some of the code needs to do by himself so he was a bit confused. Vince also designed the levels because he wanted to do it, he only finishes 1 level but he was close on finishing the 2nd level. The background where the start button is was made by Thamhie. She did so many designs but she didn't like most of them.

Questions
Do you think you can finish a game if you have a chance to make one? What game would you make?

Electricity Circuit

Electricity Circuit
Image result for electricity circuit

Equipment:

  1. Wire
  2. Bulbs
  3. Battery
Method:
  1. Gather needed Equipment
  2. Plug the battery in
  3. Attach the wires to the battery
  4. Attach the wires to the bulb
  5. Turn your battery on
Observations:
There was no light the first time we connected the wire, bulbs and battery. After a few attempts, we got the bulb shining. We tried different circuit diagrams to show the voltage of the bulb. Circuit one was brighter because it didn't have to share the voltage with any other bulbs. Between circuit two and three,  two had to share the voltage between two bulbs. We then measured the ammeter of the circuit.

What would happen if a black hole suddenly appeared next to Earth?

What would happen if a black hole suddenly appeared next to Earth? In short, the Earth will be doomed, but what exactly would happen?

First of all, there are 3 properties of a black hole, it can be measured in mass, spin and electric charge. These are the only 3 things the scientists know about black hole since all the information about it is lost; meaning no matter how heavy an object is that gets pulled into the black hole, all that will be left of its mass.

However, scientists have stated a solution to the black hole information by proposing that some of the "lost" information can be recovered using holographic prints and quantum teleportation.

Black hole mass is the most important because the mass of the black hole and the gravitational force generates and that's what causes the destruction of nearby objects.
If you can get too close to a black hole, you will begin to stretch like spaghetti scientist called this effect "spaghettification".

Cave Art

What am I learning? I  am learning to write a story using only symbols and pictures to create a story that represents a moment in past time.

How does the work show my learning? the work we are currently doing in social studies is cave art!  Thousands of years back people used cave art to tell story's and create timelines, so by us attempting to create our own story using cave art it gives us a better understanding because we've actually done our own little cave art drawing.

What am I wondering??? I wonder why people used cave art, who was the first person to even establish this way of storytelling I wonder why they used this way of storytelling.

How can I use this learning? I can use this learning to help me with my cave art drawings and by learning about cave art it has given me a better understanding of how people used
to create these stories using only a stick and some type of ink or whatever they used back then, and the things they must have seen to have this much detail in their drawings.

Corrosion

Aim: To investigate the factors that cause rusting in iron.

Equipment: Six test tubes, test tube rack, a bung, six iron nails, Tap water, Saltwater, Water+Oil, Mg ribbon, Calcium chloride, Nail Polish

Method:

1. Label four test tubes A-F and place in a test tube rack.
2. Test tube contents: A= Iron nail and tap water
B= Iron nail and salty water
                              C= Iron nail and Water+Oil
D= Iron nail and calcium chloride
E= Iron nail Mg ribbon wrapped around
F= Iron nail and Nail polish
Leave the test tube for at least three days.

I wonder what will happen to us after we die

I wonder what will happen to us after we die.

A lot of people have been asking 'Where do we go after we die or what's gonna happen to us after we die?'. No one can tell what will happen to us when we die because of no one can die and then come back to life to tell what will be going to happen to us after we die. Even scientists don't know the answer.
